Presentation will be on Bouldering at Castle Hill Basin – New Zealand by Dr Jeffrey Crass
Come along and find out how easy it is to get there with your boulder pads and the wide variety of amazing boulder problems available.
So, with all the current issues in the Grampians, Castle Hill is then a world class option.
Castle Hill is known for its visually stunning scenery, intricate, technical and challenging climbing, plus, the landings are flat and grassy.
The Castle Hill basin is a semi-alpine area nestled between mountain ranges in the Canterbury high country approximately 90km northwest of Christchurch.
Take away a bit of texture, add a few more pockets and the style is evocative of the bouldering at Fontainebleau.
Jeff would go back at the drop of a hat.
